Asshole of the Day
As we have our heroes (see below), we also have our assholes. It recently came to my attention that rapper Jay-Z (Shawn Carter to you) failed to appear in the music video for Mariah Carey's 1999 hit "Heartbreaker," a song on which he said "Yeah," "Jigga" and "Uh-huh" a bunch of times and dropped a pretty sweet rap halfway through. He's noticeably absent from the video, though, even during his mind-blowing vocal alone time. Can someone really win Asshole of the Day for an eight-year-old transgression? I bet if you asked someone, "Hey, who's that guy Steve, what's he all about?" and they said, "Ahhh, he let a baby die in a burning building a while back, but that was like eight years ago, he's cool now," you'd probably think Steve was an asshole. Point proven. What could have been so important that it kept Jay-Z from showing up for 39 seconds of lip syncing? Unfortunately, that's a question he's never answered. Asshole.
(Fun fact: Brett Ratner, director of Rush Hour and X-Men: The Last Stand, directed the video for "Heartbreaker." He covered Jay-Z's disappearance with an Esurance commerical-quality cartoon of Mariah walking around like a twit. Good call.)

And here I was, ignoring the blog b/c I thought Josh was out. I like you, Ryan The Intern. You should stick around.
Why thank you. Josh takes the welfare of his blog (somewhat, he did pick me after all) seriously.
