I went to 4th Street Live ... so you didn't have to

I have often made jokes about Angel's Rock Bar but I guess I was just being an asshole because I'd never ACTUALLY been in the bar itself, so I'll admit, I was being very judgemental. So Jennie and I journeyed downtown to meet some friends who were already at Angel's Rock Bar. My first thought "oh shit, why there" but I guess the moment of truth was here, I had to go in and here is what I thought.

If the word "FAIL" had a home office, it would be Angel's Rock Bar. This place is a complete bastardization of the rock-n-roll lifestyle and between the over the top spiked hair and heavy eye-liner, I kept envisioning myself in a video game with a "self respect" life meter above my head and I was losing power fast. So after one very watered down beer we moved on.

They dance on the bar at Angel's Rock Bar, I was hoping that was a light from a speeding train, unfortunately it wasn't.

They did have a half naked girl on a swing and that's good no matter where you're at.

So after that horrible taste that was Rock Bar, we ventured over to Hotel which is the latest club to hit 4th Street. I don't know whether it was the fact that we just left hell or that Hotel was really nice but we were impressed. This place was much more laid back and really had the feel of a Las Vegas club. It had a nice VIP area and great seating all around the club. If I were into clubs this would be the spot in Louisville to go to. However I think I've had my feel for these places for awhile, now on to my local dive bar.

The vibe at HOTEL.
