A press release for "Breast Fest 2007" came across my desk today. It's a "breast freeing" festival that wants a culture that's more supportive of women, children and breastfeeding. "That's great," you might say. "What's your problem with that?" And you, of course, would be absolutely right. Hey, I'm behind anything that uses the word "Lactivism." The release promises the event will feature visual and performance art (including puppet shows and paper-mache breast making workshops) to advocate this necessary cultural shift. It starts next Friday and runs until August 11. Between this and HOMEARAMA, your next couple of weekends are going to kick ass.
