My life is a rambles

20 thoughts. Larry King-style. Go.

1) Guitar Hero jumped the shark.
2) I wish Hootie & the Blowfish would release another album.
3) Re: writer's strike...as much as I miss The Office, it's nice to have time to catch up with family on all the shows on my hard drive that I haven't watched yet. Plus, Cartoon Network doesn't seem too affected. So BFD.
4) Speaking of television, those "Lockup" specials that MSNBC seems to run every day are captivating.
5) Pop Tarts sans icing > Pop Tarts with icing.
6) A lot of rap music sounds remarkably similar.
7) For that matter, so does death metal.
8) I grew a mustache last week for fun. It came out a lot like Jack White's old 'stache. That's not a good thing.
9) WhyLouisville? Why not?
10) The links on the blogroll to the right offers some top-notch Internet. You should check them out.
11) It's fun to look at Freecell like a debt-management exercise. Move these funds here, put a lot on this card for now just to get this free and...bam! You're clear!
12) I'm not sure who else knows this (exhaustive Internet searches yield nothing), but I found that if you turn up "Blue Orchid" by The White Stripes as loud as your speakers will go, you can hear (presumably) Jack yell "Whoo!" and "Hey!" at 1:12 and 1:17 respectively in the background of the song. Use this information to impress a girl.
13) Dozens of people spontaneously combust each year, it's just not really widely reported.
14) Birthday party > lemon party (don't Google it if you don't know).
15) If Ohio State wins the BCS championship, expect a hate-fueled rant on here the day after.
16) In line at Target the other day, a woman was talking about how her friend in Portland counted the Black Friday ads in her Courier-Journal and it had about 30 less than the woman's East End copy. No idea if it's true, but interesting to think about.
17) Nickelback is really, really not very good.
18) Shawn needs to bring back "Marry/Fuck/Kill."
19) Victoria Asher of Cobra Starship is hot hot Japan hot. Google her.
20) Arming the homeless is a bad idea.

In repsonse to #16 - YES! It is true. I live in Bullitt Co, which pretty soon will pratically be part of Jefferson Co, with the build up on Bardstown Road. And we didn't have many ads in our paper either. Whatz up wit that???
