Movie Review: Year One

Caught Year One last night and it's simple to sum up. Like Jack Black and Michael Cera? You'll think the movie's pretty solid. Like one of them (I'm in this camp--I'm a Cera fan, not so much for Jack Black)? Then you'll think it's passable. Like neither of them? Don't see it. It's driven by Cera and Black being Cera and Black. Jack Black's a goofy, bumbling doofus with a heart of gold and Michael Cera's an awkward, sharp-witted dork with delivers most of his lines under his breath. It's exactly what you'd expect, deserving of the reviews it's getting and worth no more than a matinee price.

This is what the sound of shoulders shrugging sounds like on the Internet.
