The weekend that was

Hampton, myself and Tugg on the set of the untitled 48 hour Film Festival project.

Saturday morning my dad and I ran the Medical Center 10K Classic and we finished in a time of 58:08. I was wanting more of a 55 minute time however I thrashed my knee during mile four and I'm paying the price today. I'm switching to the bike for the next two months so all of my nagging injuries can heal.

Saturday afternoon was spent with some friends making a short film for the WKU 48 Hour Film Festival. The theme of the film was a post apocalyptic western (film style not the school). We went on location in Woodbury, KY and it was a good excuse to get all dressed up in my Brokeback Mountain outer wear and have fun with some friends .... wait .. hold up .. I see what your thinking .. perverts .. all of ya.

Hampton holding the boom mic as Will, Shelby and Derrick enter the Green River on a chilly October afternoon. (They are troopers, I wasn't about to get in that shit.)

Saturday night I took in the 00:the rabbit show at St. Street Pub. I got to see a lot of great friends and have a great dance with Case. Following the show I headed straight back to Louisville. The first hour was fine, however after I reached E-town my mind started playing tricks on me. It was 3:30 am and the Red Bull wasn't even phasing me .. I started seeing electric dogs and shit on the side of the road but at last I made it home safely at 4am. The 22 hour day had come to an end.

I have a team that does the competition every year in Houston. Hell yeah, it's a bitch getting through the weekend, and a lot of times, it's not not very much fun when you're in the middle of it, but it's always been so rewarding in hindsight. I hope you get the chance to post your film when finished. Get some rest, you deserve it!

Thank you for the dance. Scarves and neckties are fun.
