CNN says that Apple will unveil the new phone as soon as the stocks of first gen iPhones are sold down a bit more. That's what's been causing the shortage, the gen1 iPhone isn't being made anymore.
I just heard that they're entering the premanufactured housing market. So we should see the iDouble-Wide or the iTrailer anytime now. I think it comes with the iNtruder (that's their catchy name for the double dong) a left over undocumented worker from the Jobs house, and a big bottle of iLube.

I heard Apple was done with phones and computers and that they were going to go into the tough but wide open double dong market.
