WORTH SEEING

The first selection is The King of Kong A Fistful of Quarters. This documentary really opened my eyes, because I didn't realize that there was a time rift and parts of the 1980's still existed. This film follows a few middle aged men striving for the Donkey Kong high score, and I know that doesn't sound interesting but the guys involved are characters you just can't write. I won't give you any spoilers other than there are a lot of VHS tapes used and that Billy Mitchell is a son of a bitch and probably one of the best villains this decade.

The next film is Murder Party. I didn't watch it because it was called Murder Party and judging from the spoilerrfic box.....everybody dies. However if anyone is interested in a theme party .. I think these guys have an idea.

King of Kong is wonderful. I rented it opening night.(If that's what you call it in the rental world.)

As for murder party.....what happened to Magnolia? Weren't they the saviors of independent film?

P.S. I was singing the i-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t song while I spelled it.

Sounds like a GFW Special title.
