Last week, The Raconteurs (a band featuring some Greenhornes and Jack White) announced they were dropping an album today, in all forms to all people at the same time. Well. I grabbed a copy and am now down several fingers...it was so hot it just burned them right off. It's called Consolers of the Lonely and you can get it from their (brilliantly designed) website at theraconteurs.com. It's better than the latest Nine Inch Nails album I promise.

I wonder what is current in Jermbro's CD collection?
I picked it up. I'm not feeling it as much as the last one right now.
Oh, you neglected to mention that this band features Brendan Benson, easily as talented a musician as your Mr. White.
After listening to the whole thing through about five times, I'll agree that it's not as good as Broken Boy Soldiers, but I think Jack's a lot more Jack on this one. Which, if you couldn't tell, is all I really care about.
