Because I'm gonna be hooked soon. I'm gonna lay down the 90 bones this weekend and get the Guitar Hero III package for the Wii. I'm really digging the white guitar and it should go well with my Hanes underwear, cowboy hat and black books, because that's all I plan on wearing when I play the game....the neighbors shall enjoy.

Went to BB yesterday and got the game only for PS2. The soundtrack is great, plenty of awesome songs. But, overall I like II better. They screwed the gameplay up on this one. With the old one, you could really pound on the guitar and play it like it a real one, on the new one, if you hit the strum bar very hard (like I normally do on II) it registers as two strums, so it totally fucks up your playing. So, you have to hit it light and not let it "bounce" back. That takes out a lot of the fun of trying to be a guitar God.
The Devil Went Down to Georgia is the big finale, which is so cool. However, you can only play it in the career battle mode. Afterwards, you can't play it in quick play, which sucks ass, 'cause I'd love to play it without having to worry about battling Lou.
Also, easy mode is closer to medium on GHII without the blue notes. And medium is damn hard on some of the later songs (One especially). Slayer's Raining Blood on easy is fucking INSANELY hard for moderate players like myself, by far harder than anything on GHII on medium.
I really wanna save up and get a PS3 and then get Rock Band when it comes out. Now that game will be fucking hella-cool to play with friends. In case you haven't heard about it, it's basicly a full band version made by the original makers of GH (they're not involved in that franchise any longer). It comes with a guitar, mic and drum kit (and you can hook up another guitar as well). And like with GHIII, you'll be able to download lots of new songs. They're also gonna make full albums available for download, they already have The Who Who's Next lined up, and announced there's gonna be a Metallica album, but haven't said which one yet. It comes out towards the end of november.
Good lord. I'm just gonna sleep on your couch during December, if that's cool with you.
