The last Radiohead album, "Hail to the Theif", came out in 2003, and I wasn't in love with it. The album had some great songs, but it didn't move me like their previous releases. So when I heard that "In Rainbows" was due out soon, I didn't get that initial excitement I used to.
After having listened to the album twice this morning, the excitement has returned, along with a big smile on my face. So without further ado, good.bad.ugly.
Good
1. This album has several songs they've been playing for years, but have never recorded definitive versions. Nude, Reckoner, and several on the extra disc have been around forever, leaving fans very curious of their final sounds. So thanks for finally wrapping those up.
2. The songs are really good. I realize that's a pretty general statement, but they are. It's not too much of any one style or sound. There's catchy hooks and a broad sonic spectrum to it.
3. Nude, Weird Fishes/ Arpeggi, All I Need, House of Cards... BRILLIANT!!!
4. The boldest move (and now heavily copied by Oasis and others) is that they released this record without a record company, for any price you'd like to pay. This is a giant leap forward in how we get our music, who better than Radiohead to pioneer it.
Bad
1. Keep in mind, there isn't anything bad about the album, it's just contrived gripes to fill out the column... If I had to make a complaint, I'd say I'm unhappy that I don't have the disc with the extra songs, immediately.
Ugly
1. I think the box is fairly priced for all that you receive, but I wish they'd offered the CD version with the extra disc for around $20. That would've been a good idea, but I'm sure they'll rectify this once it's released by an official label.
So, Radiohead, you've won me over again. I'm sorry for doubting you.

Hell they only really had one good song...what was...Creep or something like that. Yeah I liked that one.
I hate that one. I heard it one too many times waiting in line for the dizzy frog ride at the Catfish Festival.
