Because you don't hear "sacroiliac" enough

The 1980s were a crazy time, full of cocaine, neon lights and Joe Esposito telling everyone that they were the best (...around). Fortunately, the '80s were also a decade for fantastic rap, as evidenced by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's seminal hit "The Message." Everyone knows the song, yeah, but the video really flew under the radar. And you need to see it. Just clear out six minutes and watch it.

Enjoy:

+ multiple shots of taxicabs.
+ the best video editing technology money could buy.
+ Melle Mel portraying some kind of balding, Tourettes-afflicted gay ghetto cowboy.
+ shots following the lyrics quite literally (watch for "crazy lady, livin' in a bag" and "got to have a con in this land of milk and honey").
+ dancing. Ye gods, the dancing.
+ the fantastic acting at the end.

Too bad Puff Daddy shit all over this song 15 years later.
